Croatia should be on everyone’s ‘must-do’ list - nowhere quite compares.
From the depths of Adriatic caves and the deep blue sea, with its numerous bays, inlets, coves and islands this is a unique area in Europe for enjoying the water. From motor boat cruising to speed-boating and idyllic sailing there is something for everyone.
Croatia is indeed unique, not only for its crystal clear, clean blue sea, but also for a thousand years of different cultures that have replaced each other and assimilated in these areas. Croatian cuisine is a wonderful reflection of this mix of cultures and history, with culinary influences from Hungary, Turkey, Greece, Italy and France.
A must-see while in Croatia is the Plitvice Lakes National Park With sixteen lakes, each at a different level, joined by a series of cascading waterfalls and surrounded by a dense forest Plitvice Lakes are a natural phenomenon of a rare and unique beauty. This area was granted UNESCO World Heritage status in 1979 and is located roughly halfway between the capital city of Zagreb and Zadar on the coast.
